The Magick of Freewill
Today we're going to delve deeper into the world of magick, to where you'll be taking the next step in understanding how use of freewill brings you joy.
What is the Next Step?
The next step is walking into the unknown. The unknown is where everything you’ve ever wondered exists. The unknown is the part of you, you haven’t explored. The unknown is the natural next step on your path working with magick in your life and trusting the next step is walking into the unknown without having any idea of knowing where it is you are going.
It’s important to understand here that the most important part of this next step is to trust where you’re heading is the path you are meant to take.
You can trust walking into the unknown for magick is there waiting to guide you.
Can You Do This?
Can you walk where there is no clear sign and no clear direction of where it is you are going? Are you able to go somewhere just by trusting the nudges you receive from within by how you feel?
This is where you must fully trust in magick. Those feelings in your gut, and the pulling upon your heart is magick letting you know where you’re naturally meant to go next.
It’s your mind that might interfere and cause you to pause. The mind, your thoughts.. those other voices in your head. Of people who have talked you out of following your heart. These are the voices trying to stop you from going where your heart longs to be.
Who will you listen to?
The voices in your head and in your ear telling you “don’t go?” Or will you listen to your gut and your heart following the magick within you?
Freewill Works Easily With Magick!
Freewill is allowing yourself to choose wherever and whatever it is you want to experience in life, without listening to any voice that tries to stop you.
You don’t have to do anything that makes you uncomfortable.
You don’t have to ignore your heart and your instincts anymore.
You are meant to flow in life with what you feel is right for you!
You’re not meant to listen to others who believe they have control over your destiny.
Freewill cannot go against what you naturally need in your everyday waking life. If you are meant to take care of another, you must do what is needed to ensure they have the same as you to continue to stay alive. Freewill isn’t about being reckless with other people’s health and wellbeing.
Freewill is understanding you have the choice in any situation or circumstance to handle the situation whatever way you want.
For example:
You’re out with friends and they want you to pay for the food. They expect this of you because you either make more money than them, or you learned somewhere in life that if you paid for others they would be your friend.
Yet, now you’re surrounded by “friends” who will only hang out with you, if you’re buying.
Just because you made a decision once doesn’t mean you have to continue living with that same decision, forever. You have the freedom of using your Freewill at any time in life, without having the need to explain yourself to anyone.
Sure, you can tell your so-called friends you’re not paying for them anymore. If you plan to do this, it’s best to tell them in advance. It’s not fair to spring this upon them after they’ve eaten a meal you would normally cover. Tell them in advance, so when the bill comes they're not expecting you to pay.
If they order food and eat it believing you’ll give in and pay then that’s their choice of using their freewill. The consequences that occur for them is not your burden to carry.
If you give in and pay for them out of feeling defeated by their use of guilt (also known as manipulation) on you, then at this point you can only blame yourself.
Setting boundaries with others isn’t easy to do when you first learn how to set them. It takes strength and courage to go against what you’re used to doing.
If you’re afraid to speak up out of fear of being yelled at, losing these so-called friends, or believing if you stop paying everyone will hate you and you’ll end up dying alone without any friends… then you need to have a serious one to one with magick.
How Can Magick Help?
Magick knows you better than you know yourself. Magick is the one who led you here today. It’s magick who is nudging you to become real with yourself. If you didn’t have any weaknesses that were plaquing you in life, then you wouldn’t be here, now wanting to know how to live a more magickal existence.
It’s time for you to change. It’s time for you to start living your life as you feel you should be living it. Not by listening to others tell you how you should be living your life.
In order to speak up in life and step towards the life you know is yours to live, you must disrupt the apple cart. Meaning, you need to create changes in your life where you’ve allowed others to control your decisions in life.
It’s perfectly normal to tell your friends you’re not going to do something you no longer want to do. This is how healthy relationships work. If a friend asks you to do something you aren’t interested in doing, then it’s natural for you to decline in doing it.
If you find the same friend asks you to do things you never want to do, then you must examine why you’re friends in the first place?
You must examine what you have in common with each of your friends. What do you gain or exchange with others you keep in your life? Are the people you associate with benefitting your life? Are they adding to your life the joy of living or are they sucking the life out of you? Ask yourself what do you benefit others? Are you giving to each of the people in your life the best version of you? Or are you siphoning life out of the people you interact with too?
You must realize people come in and out of our lives for moments in time. Some stay longer than others, while some are just passing through.
Trying to hold onto people like things to possess is not a healthy way to have relationships.
Magick wants you to trust that whoever is in your life will play a role in your life. The person will add to your life or they will take something from you in life.
Friendships and relationships should be balanced in a way of give and take. If you’re always paying for your friend's meal, what are they giving you in return? Money shouldn’t be a deciding factor or a way to hold control over another. If your friend can’t afford to buy lunch, yet they provide you with great entertainment while you dine, then the mutual understanding of your dining interaction is a balanced encounter.
However, if you’re paying for someone’s meal and you feel miserable dining with them, then you need to evaluate what you're doing! If you feel they’re flat out using you for food, not out of need, but from a place of greed, then magick has already shown you the truth of what is out of balance for you.
Trust Magick is Guiding Your Steps
Everything you do in life, you choose to do. Yes, you heard that correctly. Even the awful experiences you experience, you choose to have them.
If someone is mean to you and you spend time with them then you’re putting yourself in that situation. No one is forcing you to stay in that environment. Nope! Don’t argue. It doesn’t matter who they are, if they’re mean to you it’s you who allows yourself to endure them.
NOTE: If you’re too young to escape an environment where you’re being abused or the situation isn’t safe, then call upon magick to help you. In this type of situation, your life might take an immediate turn around. Whatever falls around you at this time, you must trust. Magick is protecting you. Wherever you end up is the safest place for you to be.
Magick will continue to guide you through any discomfort you may feel. Cling to magick in these moments and you can trust magick will assist with everything you need.
For those of you who are old enough to change the environment of where you currently stand, know you too are not alone. Call upon magick for help and allow what unfolds around you.
This is where you need to go with the flow. Let what falls, fall around you. Go where you feel pushed from within to go. Most of all, trust that magick is working in your favour. Follow your heart. Know it’s magick whose whispering to you those feelings of change you feel within your heart to take. By wanting your life to be different than the one it is you are currently experiencing, you must go where you’ve never been before.
Remember: Magick wants what’s best for you in life. In every situation, wherever you are, whatever you’re doing and with whatever is happening around you. Magick is there with you giving you the hints on where or what action you should be taking next.
It’s Always Magick!
Magick speaks to you in every thought or feeling you have. It's the gut feeling you have in your stomach and it’s the nudges you feel within your heart. Whenever you make a decision in life, you know immediately if it is the right decision for you by the way you feel. Good decisions lead to great experiences and poor decisions lead to bad experiences.
Good decisions leave positive impressions on your life. Good decisions hold no lingering heavy effects. However, it’s the bad decisions you make that leaves you with the experience of feeling remorse or regret. These feelings can cause you to beat yourself up over knowing you knew what to do, yet you didn’t listen to yourself. The result equals a negative outcome created for you.
Here is where anger can arise, also. Anger comes from knowing you could’ve made a better choice and avoided the negative outcome, but you didn’t listen to yourself. Or you may have listened to other voices who didn’t have your best interest at heart.
It’s okay to make mistakes in life. This is your first time here. There’s no instruction manual given to you upon your birth to understand how to use the magick within you. Magick wants you to forgive yourself. It’s also good to forgive those other voices too. For they are living their first time in this world, as well.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean you repeat the same mistakes. It means you learn from them and try something new.
Your Intuition is Your Magick
Learning to listen to yourself isn’t easy to do. Most people have been taught to listen to others. Adults, siblings, relatives, friends, teachers, bosses, the government, the list goes on.
Few are taught at a young age to listen to themselves. To hear what your instincts and gut feelings have to say. From a young age you were told how to speak, what to eat and what to wear. As you grew up, you went to school and were taught what to learn. How to colour, what to read and so on.
Then, you reached an age where you were sent into the world you survive on your own. Using everything you were once taught to do.
The problem is when it comes to living your life your way, versus how you’ve been conditioned by the world to live, you don’t know how to live. So many people told you who to be and how to act, you have no idea who you truly are.
Magick knows who you are. Magick is the energy within you that’s felt the discomfort of living your life to the tune of others.
Magick is the rebellious nature within you that wants you to go against what you feel isn’t for you in the world.
It’s Time to Come Home to Yourself
It’s not going to take you very long to remember who you are and it isn’t going to take very long to get to know yourself again. The magick of having magick on your side is that you can easily let go of the shell you've built around you.
You’re safe to tear down the wall around your heart and to take off the mask you’ve worn upon your face. You belong in the world just as you are. All it takes to thrive in the world is to follow your heart and allow your gut to guide you.
Sounds simple, yet for anyone who has never been allowed to express themselves without consequence by people around them will find this hard to do.
That’s why it’s important for you to build a relationship with magick. Magick will give you the courage and the strength to speak your truth. Magick will give you the guidance to take the necessary steps in important directions of your waking life.
You don’t have to do any of this alone. And you don’t need anyone to tell you how to, either. Magick will provide you everything you need. It’s already inside of you.
Here’s an Example of Using Your Freewill:
You find yourself at the local river wanting to go for a swim to cool off from the summer heat. You’re a good swimmer and you’ve swam in this water since you were young.
You decide this summer you’re going to jump off the bridge that’s above the river. Kids your age have jumped off this bridge for as long as it’s been there.
You climb to the top and join where other kids are freely jumping off the bridge into the cool water below. Kids are screaming with excitement and having fun splashing around.
Nothing within you is warning you to stop. You get a fuzzy feeling in your stomach, yet you know it’s not fear. You recognize this feeling as excitement. You’re excited because you’re going to jump off the bridge.
You step to the edge and are ready to jump, when all of a sudden you hear a familiar voice shout for you to stop!
You turn around and see the person and immediately you feel defeated. The person is warning you to get down or else there’ll be consequences.
What do you do?
Will you exercise your Freewill and jump or will you go against your instincts and climb back down?
Everyone knows the feeling of not doing something you want to do because someone else told you not to. If you climb back down, you'll feel the sun shining on you as if the day just got hotter. Your mood will have changed too.
Here is where resentment enters the picture. For not doing what your body knew you could do. What your body was ready to do. What your body was excited to do.
Anger will rise, too.
Anger towards yourself for giving in to what someone else has told you, you cannot do. For reasons they deemed necessary.
What happens if you jump and go against the person who tried to stop you?
You can take that leap of faith or you can stand down.
Whatever you choose, is your choice. It’s the consequences that might come with it that you must experience. The consequences are what needs to be weighed.
Freewill Isn’t a Consequence!
There are so many rules and regulations in this world that everyone has to seemingly follow. If you jump off the bridge and you get in trouble by the person who told you not to jump, then they might get angry with you for not listening to them.
The choice you had in jumping or not determined who was going to carry the anger. You or them? For if you didn’t jump, you’d be angry. If you do jump, they’ll be angry.
When you do what’s best for you, you show others that you’re capable of making your own decisions. If you fall and get hurt by the choices you make, then you only have yourself to blame. By taking accountability for your own decisions, you accept the risks involved.
If you jump off the bridge, you’ll learn through experience if this is what you enjoy doing. If you climb back down, then you accept that others know what’s best for you and you live your life according to what others want of you.
Everything you do has a reaction to everything in life. If you smile, others react. Some will smile back at you, while others get angry and wonder why you’re so happy.
No matter what you choose to do in life, you can’t please everyone, so you have to choose to do what brings you joy.
Freewill Leads to Self Control
Freewill means no one has control over you, ever! It may feel like people hold power over you. The truth is, no one does. It’s the consequences that stop people from stepping off the bridge and jumping into the waters below.
If you feel you’re too afraid to use your freewill in life, then fret not. Magick is here to help you climb the bridge, so you can enjoy the free falling feeling of landing into cool water on a warm summer day. Just for the thrill of it.
Life is meant to be lived in joy.
You can work with magick to find your joy. What makes your stomach flutter (not in fear), but in excitement is what life is all about. Stepping into the unknown and trusting you will make the landing.
It’s Up to You!
You get to decide each and every day what you’re going to do with the time you have to use. You have 24 hours each day to use your free will. Even while you sleep, you get to decide what you’ll do next.
Magick is here to help you take that next step. To use your Freewill as it was intended, for you to have the choice of what you want to do with your life and what you want to experience.
Every moment is a chance to change the direction of your life. Remember: Magick wants to take you where your heart longs to be. The more you allow magick to guide your steps, the closer you get to the life you want to experience.
