Learning to Breathe With Magick
Here we are again, ready to talk about something that everyone has the strength within them to do, yet you may have forgotten how… And that something is remembering how to breathe.
Yes, of course your body knows how to breathe, but did you know there are different ways to breathe in life? Not everyone can breathe on their own? Some people need help breathing.
Everything you do in life must be experienced through your breath. Your breath can be used to overcome any obstacle that is blocking you from living the life your heart longs to experience.
Before we get to the depth of how deep your breath can go, we’ll begin by discussing the different ways a person can struggle to breathe in life.
There’s many physical ways to not be able to breathe and there’s many mental ways to struggle to breathe, as well.
An example of a physical challenge to breathing is someone who has asthma. If you’re asthmatic, you understand the difficulty of breathing when your lungs become constricted. If you don’t get the oxygen you need, you could die. To prevent death, people with asthma need an inhaler to help open up their airway to allow them to breathe.
What about the people who struggle to breathe when life becomes constricting? Here’s where the mental struggle to breathe occurs. A person can have healthy lungs, yet find themselves incapable of breathing when faced with life’s challenges.
Anything that creates one’s breath to become unstable is a challenge in life. These moments can be as traumatic as having one’s lungs lose their function to intake air needed to survive. Losing your breath due to anger, shock or any situation where something is happening beyond your control can literally take your breath away.
In these tense moments you may feel alone, unequipped with the skill to breathe through the situation, naturally. Sure, you can bend over your knees to try and regulate your breath to stop yourself from passing out. Another option is to breathe into a paper bag, to regain control of your breath. Doing either of these things can help, but doing this in public can draw unwanted attention.
Passing out or having a panic attack every time you’re triggered in life by stress is not a healthy way to live. You’re supposed to have a joyful life. Not be decapitated by the lack of air anytime you’re faced with the unknown.
You don’t need to stress about losing your cool when life throws you off-balance. There is a tool for you to use and it’s not a paper bag. You carry this tool within you everywhere you go. This tool of course is magick. Magick is available to help you get through each and every moment of your day.
There are numerous reasons why someone gets stressed out in life. Trauma can occur at anytime no matter how old you are. Know that whatever you’ve encountered thus far in life, magick can help you overcome. All you need to do to navigate the uncomfortable moments is to use your breath to guide you through them.
Trauma or the stresses in life can happen in an instant. One moment, you’re living your life in peace, when suddenly the unexpected occurs causing your life to turn upside down.
This type of situation can throw your breathing and your inner peace off-balance. Not knowing how to control your breathing in this type of situation can cause your breath to skip, as well it can cause your heart, gut and your mind to jump around, too!
In a moment of panic, your body will fight for balance. Having a panic attack might surprise the people around you, but if you’ve never experienced the sense of losing all control of a situation before, then you’re going to think there’s something wrong with you.
Usually, before a full blown panic attack arrives, there’s warning signs.
Being out of balance with your breathing means you aren’t able to recognize the signs that the ground beneath you is about to collapse. Sometimes, things happen in life that were not prepared for. However, 99.9% of the time, the signs were there. You just failed to see them.
Magick speaks to you through your heart. The closer you are to listening to your heart, the more your gut instinct will inform you something is amiss. When your mind is in-tune with your heart and your gut, it’ll feel as if magick has prepared you for what is to come.
For example: if you’re afraid of snakes and you’re out walking in nature, you’re probably not going to be focused on the beauty of nature that surrounds you. You’re going to be on the lookout for snakes in every step you take. Isn’t it always when you look away for a moment, that one will cross your path?
By having balanced breath before going on a walk, the presence of a snake would present itself to you before you cross paths with one. Your instincts would tell you the snake is near. You’d either hear it, or sense its presence by the way you feel “something” is there. This is how powerful it is when your heart, gut and mind work in unison with magick. You’re prepared for when a snake is about to cross your path.
The benefits of having balanced breathing over unbalanced breath is that when you encounter a surprise in life, you’ll handle it from a calmer perspective.
This means you’re less likely to overreact when life around you surprises you. A peaceful mind allows you to access every situation in your life from a place of surety. Having balanced breathing gives you the confidence to know you can breathe through any situation in life with a calm sense of peace because you understand nothing in life is impossible to overcome.
It's exhausting and a waste of one’s energy to be on-guard every time you walk down the street out of fear of a snake crossing your path. The distraction it causes you, keeping you from enjoying the joyful things you could be focusing on instead. You can’t do this if your eyes are always peeled to the ground searching for a snake?
By allowing magick to help you learn to breathe, you can breathe naturally through any situation you find yourself uncomfortable having.
Therefore, if you’re afraid of snakes and you happen upon one, you can trust magick will help you overcome your fear of them. Magick doesn’t want you to befriend the snake. The goal from magick is that you will no longer be intimidated by snakes.
By allowing magick to help you breathe through life, you’ll become aware of your surroundings. What once scared you will no longer hold any fear within you. Magick is fearless. Therefore, you can be fearless, too!
With magick in your life, you can feel safe. You can trust magick will keep you safe too. You can trust whatever you experience is what you are capable of handling also. Magick will give you the insight to read the environments you find yourself in and you’ll know by having a balanced breath how to breathe through anything in life.
Did you know your body is equipped to keep you safe at all times? You have the sense of sight, sound, smell and taste to discern what’s happening around you, long before trouble strikes. You also have your heart, your intuition (also known as your gut) and you have magick to help guide you when you cannot see what’s ahead.
If you ever find yourself in the path of a venomous snake, know you can survive the encounter. How you breathe through this encounter is what the outcome will be. If you react with sudden, erratic breathing, this will lead to your erratic movements. By panicking, you’ll get bit by the snake.
However, with a balanced breath, you will keep your cool. Remaining calm means the snake will see you’re not a threat. By being still, the snake will eventually move on. It’s a game of patience. When you can remain patient or be still during an emotional time in your life, you will be victorious.
In life, people can act like snakes. People can try to harm you by reacting out of fear from their own unbalanced breath. Their trauma in life turns them into viewing you as a threat out to harm them. As a frightened snake thinking you’re going to harm it, the snake will strike first.
Sadly, it seems the world is full of fearful people believing others are out to get them, first. The lack of trust within a persons heart creates a life lived in fear. By living in balanced breath, you eliminate fearful insecurities within you. Your fears, lack of trust, or uncertainties are replaced with peace. When you can breathe calmly, you know there is nothing yo fear in life.
Whatever has happened to you in life where you became aware there is something or someone to fear, is where Magick wants you to remember how to breathe. Magick wants to help you rebalance your breathing so you don’t over or under react to whatever is trying to unbalance you in life.
Rebalancing your breath with magick is something you once knew how to do. Long before you forgot how to breathe in balance, you breathed naturally. It’s usually the cause of shock, mistrust or trauma where your breathing became unbalanced. In that moment, your breath skipped a beat. Causing you to live your life from that moment to be forever changed.
It’s okay to have missed a breath or two in your life. Sometimes you’re not aware you’ve been breathing wrong because the moment that stole your breath away got buried by the more moments of stress.
Did you know that whatever caused you to become unbalanced in your breathing in life caused your life to be off-balance, too? This is why you feel misaligned with where your heart longs to be.
Remember, your heart, gut and mind are to be working together in balance with one another to create peace in your life. This is where magick wants you to be. Living your life in balanced breath feeing joyful and living in peace.
The reality is there are snakes in this world. All different kinds. Some are harmless and some are deadly. You have the choice of living in fear of them or living in harmony with them. You can live in fear of snakes and focus all your attention with your head down eyes peeled on the ground or you can focus on your heart, listen to your gut and breathe with magick. By doing this, you can walk with your head held high knowing no snake will ever trip you up.
It's not all snakes out there. It’s not always a negative experience where magick can assist you with your breathing in life. Once you’ve remembered how to breathe naturally, you may find the good life as uncharted territory.
When you’re beginning to experience positive results in life, it might feel foreign to you, at first. Anyone who has lived in a world of darkness for longer than they’ve experienced moments of joy, will not know how to react to happiness. Choosing to experience peace in your life will take practice, too.
It may feel uncomfortable to accept that your life no longer feels heavy. Not having to carry burdens (yours or others) may leave you feeling empty and slightly confused. It’s like the person who’s worked hard their entire life suddenly discovering they have no more hard work to do.
It’s weird that happiness can feel uncomfortable. For joy is our natural nature.
However, learning to breathe through good moments without anyone sabotaging them (yourself included) is like remembering what it felt like before your innocence was taken from you. You may have been too young to remember what breathing naturally feels like?
Innocence means you’re allowed to smile. Innocence means you’re allowed to laugh. Innocence means you don’t have to feel guilty for being happy.
Magick will help you to breathe in every situation you need help breathing your way through in life. The good and the bad. It’s going to take practice in remembering how to rebalance your breath. Be patient with yourself. You’ll have good days and you’ll have bad days. Measure them the same. As long as you’re trying, then everyday is a good day.
Remember, it’s a group effort approach. You need to work in cooperation with your heart and your gut with magick leading you as one. Trusting in yourself to breathe through whatever unfolds in your life is truly magickal experience.
As if by magick you will know how to navigate through what once seemed as a wall to block you from moving forward in life, not knowing what to do or where to go. Where you once saw obstacles blocking you from going where you want to go in life, you’ll now know you can handle anything and everything you once viewed as impossible to achieve.
That’s the beauty of magick. Magick is here to help you navigate your life to where it is your heart longs to be. All it takes is for you to breathe naturally, as you were born to do.
Remember: if you ever feel there is no hope, it’s in the dark where you see the Light.
