Are You Real?
Do you know what confidence feels like? Do you know when you’re sitting in your pride and how it feels when you’re sitting with your ego? Can you discern which feels natural and which feels unnatural? If you’re confused about which is which, then you’ve come to the right place. You’ve found the space where you’re safe to admit to yourself you don’t know the answer. Magick is here to help you discern which is which and what is what.
Confidence is feeling good, without guilt, shame, fear or force. Confidence feels easy. Confidence is what you say or do without worrying that you’re wrong. With confidence there’s no fighting yourself into believing or convincing yourself you’re right. Confidence is as natural as breathing. Confidence is the truth and the truth can’t be destroyed. Therefore, confidence allows you to stand strong in who you are and that’s a powerful place to be.
Pride convinces you you’re right and the ego argues that you aren’t wrong. Other people can even tell you you’re wrong and they can even show you, you’re not right, however your pride and your ego will convince you otherwise. Hiding behind your pride and shielding yourself with your ego makes you pretentious. Ouch, no one likes to be called fake.
If you find yourself squirming at the idea that you’re not as real as you imagined yourself to be, then ask magick to help you step into your confidence. Magick will help you stand up and step away from your pride and your ego, so you can accept who it is you truly are. It’s awful to feel insecure and it’s awful to feel afraid to be yourself. You shouldn’t have to live your life hiding behind your pride and using your ego just so others will like or accept you. The truth is if you’re doing this then you’re surrounding yourself with prideful and egotistical people, too.
A lot of people use their pride and their ego to shield themselves against being vulnerable to the world. Pride will have you believing you’re being targeted for exposing your weakness of not being the confident person you portray yourself to be. Your ego will fight to make sure no one sees behind your mask. You probably learned to put up these shields when you were quite young, to protect yourself from people who held the same protective shields. In these conditions, you probably weren’t accepted by those who were meant to love you, unconditionally. What happened to you was unjust and unfair. You no longer need to be afraid of not being accepted by those who you wanted to trust the most. Let magick pull you out of the past, so you can be focused on where you are today.
Magick is here to protect you whenever you’re ready to step away from your pride and when you’re ready to step out of your ego. It's okay to be vulnerable with magick. There’s nothing to fear. Magick accepts you just as you are. In fact, magick wants you to admit where you’re afraid, so magick can help you discover there’s no one one and nothing to fear. Magick won't hurt you and magick won’t allow anyone else to harm you, either. Most of all, magick won’t allow you to hurt yourself anymore, either. If you’ve been living your life hiding behind your pride and your ego, then you’ve unknowingly been harming yourself, too. By pretending to be someone you’re not, in order to be liked or accepted by others has prevented you from living your life authentically.
Living a lie is not a healthy way to exist. There’s a heaviness that comes with trying to fit in everywhere you go. The more you’ve hidden your true-self from the world, the higher probability you’ve had to live your life in deception. Deceiving others into believing you’re one way when you’re another is lying to yourself and lying to them, too. Keeping up appearances to impress others is exhausting and unnatural, as well.
If you have to pretend to be someone you’re not to be accepted by others around you, then the people you’re trying to impress are probably not the right people to have in your life. If your relationships are built on lies, then you’re obviously not being real. If anyone has ever made you feel unacceptable by being you, then you have allowed them to steal your magick. You can’t access magick, if you’re living in deception. Magick is only available to those who are honest and true.
Beware: being authentic brings out the green-eyed monster in those who don’t have the courage to be themselves. When you’re walking in your true authentic self and someone tells you, you still aren’t good enough, know they’re intimidated by your authenticity. You need not be afraid of such souls. By being true to you, you’ll see the games they’ll attempt to play. Instead of trying to win them over (as you did before), you’ll walk the other way.
Being yourself is magickal. Once you live from your authentic self, you’ll understand how powerful you truly are. By being true to you you’ll experience magick in everything you do and you’ll see magick everywhere you go. When you’re authentic, you’ll no longer have to pretend to be someone you’re not. The right people will fit naturally into your life. You’ll be accepted as you are and you will accept others for who they are, too. To gain this level of confidence, you must acknowledge you have weaknesses. Tell magick everything you’re afraid of in order to set yourself free.
To start, you must remove your mask(s). You’ll have to speak to magick on just how many masks you carry. For there can be more than one that you use to protect yourself against certain situations in your life. A word of caution should be advised here. Once you’ve removed your mask(s), you might feel naked, as in exposed for being a fraud. The first thing you’ll want to do is cover yourself back up. What you’re feeling is a sense of not having the shield you used to hide behind, out of fear of being attacked for being you. Your shield is the wall you built that falsely kept you from being exposed as fake. You must put this shield down so you can pick up your confidence. There is no other way.
Magick will keep you safe and protected during this process. Magick will help you stand strong on who it is you are. Once you take the first step in showing the world who you are, mask-free, you’ll feel strong, free, light and most of all you’ll feel magickal. This is the natural feeling of confidence, which is shedding the deception(s) you carried for so long.
The more you step into your authenticity, the more positive you’ll become. If you use to follow others in their negative ways, then you’ll find yourself viewing the world differently. For example, if you used to get down and dirty by trashing another person's name a.k.a. gossip, then you’ll find yourself no longer wanting to tear others down. It’s because you’ll have learned through magick how to have compassion for yourself, so you in-turn have compassion towards others. You’ll allow people to be themselves knowing the battles you too have faced.
It’s up to you to remain friends or be associated with others who aren’t being themselves. You’ll be able to discern who is real and who isn’t by how they make you feel. You’ll need to weigh the pros and cons of letting people go or keeping them in your life. Only you can decide. If you’re not sure what to do, allow magick to help you with your decisions and trust you’ll make the right choices for you.
Being real is the greatest gift of being alive. Being unbothered by other people’s opinions of you is a powerful feeling to possess, too. The pride and the ego might feel good, however the feelings they provide are often short-lived. When you’re true to who you are, no one and nothing can stop you from living your life as you choose. Isn’t that magickal!
